Abstract:
The objectives of this study were to examine the effectiveness of using shadowing technique to in improve speaking skill for students in learning English as a foreign language. Accordingly, the research was conducted as an experimental research which consisted of two groups. Each group consisted of 30 students studying at Thainguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Vietnam, in which the experimental group was taught using shadowing technique while the control group was taught using traditional lecture method. After 4 weeks of learning speaking, the pre-test and posttest were used as instruments for data collection for students’ speaking learning results.
