Abstract:
Background: CYP1A1 plays a role in the phase I metabolism of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAHs) and estrogen metabolism. This gene polymorphism is suspected to be one of predisposition factors contributing to incidence of breast carcinoma. Literatures about CYP1A1 gene polymorphism in breast carcinoma showed contradictory results.
