Comparative Biogenecity of Soil Samples from Various Ecosystems of Palakkad District, Kerala, India

Abstract: Soil organisms are an integral part of agricultural ecosystems. The presence of a range of diverse community of soil organisms is essential for the maintenance of productive soil (Anderson 1975). Present study reviews the abundance, species richness and factors that cause these parameters to vary, of soil fauna in different ecosystems of Palakkad district Kerala, studied as a part of International Year of Soil 2015.
