A Study on Work Motivation and Job Satisfaction among Female Nurses of Ranchi Town in Jharkhand

Abstract: Work motivation is a set of energetic forces that originate both within as well as beyond an individuals being, to initiate work-related behavior, and to determine its form, direction, intensity, and duration. Understanding what motivates an organizations employees is central to the study of I–O psychology. It is the force that drives an employee toperform well in their job. Work motivation is highly influenced by the external and internal socio-psychological environment of an individual in working place (Agarwal, 1988).
