Abstract:
Adsorbent obtained from centella asiatica leaves is employed for the removal of the Rhodamine –B dye from aqueous solution. Batch adsorption studies were carried out by observing the effects of various experimental parameters such as the effect of pH, adsorbent dose, dye concentration, contact time and temperature. The equilibrium data fitted well to Langmuir isotherm model. The results indicate that the adsorbent obtained from centella asiatica leaves is a good adsorbent for the removal of Rhodamine-B from aqueous solution.
