Rivers in the city zones are more vulnerable to all kinds of disasters- flood, pollution, erosion, and deposition. Human interferences are found maximum. Slums are one of the characteristics of the river and stream banks of urban centers. The purpose of this study is to identify the pollution in the channel bed by the slum dwellers in Dehra Dun city. The main objective of the present description is to find out the causes and consequences of pollution in the Rispna River of Dehra Dun. The methodology has been adopted based on the primary and secondary data, SOI maps, Carteret and Google images, field investigation, and observation.
