Abstract:
The article is about the flow characteristics analysis of a particular domain in presence of different shapes of structures by performing a two-equation [K-] model simulation. Three different types of structures (rectangular, triangular, and ellipse) are used to make the blockage of the flow. After the creation of the geometry through Ansys Fluent Software in presence of the structures, the domain is prepared by meshing the water phase with centimeters and the air phase with 70 centimeters of cell size. Then the model is set up for a two-equation K- model to run by applying proper boundary conditions. With a successful run, the model shows the flow contour, which indicates velocity, vorticity, pressure, turbulence intensity, and turbulence kinetic energy inside the domain.
