Abstract:
Despite the emergence of novel treatment modalities, mortality rates due to ovarian cancer remain high, and its incidence has been rising over the past two decades. Although numerous studies have been conducted in developed countries to evaluate the risk factors associated with ovarian cancer, there is a dearth of such information in the South Asian region, which includes Sri Lanka. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the risk factors contributing to epithelial ovarian cancer among women over the age of 40 years in the district of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
