Abstract:
The study of survival analysis involves censoring which is an important feature of the clinical data. This paper deals with the analysis of non-parametric and parametric estimates of survival function and median survival time of UMARU Impact Study (UIS) data. The Survival probabilities S(t) are estimated by Kaplan Meier product Limit method under non-parametric approach and the survival functions are estimated through Weibull distribution, Exponential distribution and lognormal distribution under parametric approach. In modelling the survival data, most of the time we have no prior information about the theoretical distribution of survival time and graphical tools are employed to fit a better distribution using R Software.
