Abstract:
Maternal mortality continues to pose challenges as Sierra Leone record the highest maternal mortality rates in the world (857 per 100 000 live birth). This study sought to determine the importance of antenatal care and factors affecting utilization of antenatal care service in Bombali district Northern Sierra Leone. A cross-sectional study that combines both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods were conducted for 174 Antenatal Care attendees and 26 health care providers.
